Lorelai Sparks
birth name Lorelai Michelle Sparks date of birth December 31, 1986 (27) hometown Chicago, IL current residence Hawthorn, WA occupation On-air radio personality sexuality/status heterosexual/single
first middle and last name
Once upon a time, I wanted to change my name to "Roxanne" thanks to Sting and the Police. Unfortunately, my mother wasn't having any of that and told me to drop the dream of having my name changed to a hooker's name. So, eventually I gave up the dream and started going by my legal name, Lorelai Michelle Sparks.Yes, I now realize how awesome it is. Feel free to remind me.

birthdate and age
December 31, 1986, 27. Party on, Wayne; Party on, Garth. I like to believe that every New Years Eve party is really being thrown in my honor. I also realize that it makes me sound super self-centered in thinking that way....I acknowledge it, and I don't care. let's celebrate me!

occupation
If god is truly a DJ, as P!nk sang about, then I'm his co-host. And no, that's not admitting to the world that Jojo is god, because he's not. I'm actually 1/4 of one of the best shows on the radio...in the evenings, when most people are sleeping. #NoRagrets Also, thanks to the show, I sometimes feel like I'm a professional online dater and as of November 1st, I'll be the voice behind "The Mid-Morning Jolt w/ Lorelai Sparks", weekdays, 10am-12pm. Need the latest celebrity news? New music from every scene? I'm your girl.

who does your family consist of? how many siblings do you have?
My family consists of my amazing mom and dad, Peter and Annabeth, who are as sickeningly in love with one another today as they were way back when they met in college and fell all over one another after one date. I'm the second of three children. I have an older brother, Thayer, and younger sister named Amanda. Yes, I'm very much the Jan in every situation. I've come to terms with it and have been coping with it with the help of 90's playlists and a litte help from my friends.

what kind of pets do you have?
I have the best dog in the world. She's a total mutt and pretty much the thing I love most in the world. Sadie is my furbaby, my best friend and quite possibly the best pillow ever. She was a rescue, but she rescued me from being friendless.

which hawthorn neighborhood do you live in?
Wentworth Village

do you live alone?
It's just me and Sadie. Though Sadie makes enough of a mess for, like, three people so she makes up for the lack of humans.

what is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness is anywhere I can be surrounded by the people that I love & adore, Sadie included. However, I like to think I am pretty damn happy with my life in this moment in time, so I get a little sliver of perfect happiness every day whenever I wake up and get to spend the day doing what I love with people that I'm absolutely crazy about.

what is your relationship like with your parents? if you don't have one, explain.
My relationship with my parents is actually pretty great. I have to say that I'm a lot closer to my mom than to my dad, but I feel that has to do with the fact that Thayer exists and he's able to do all the father/son stuff with. But my mother is super close to both me and my sister.

what does your ideal weekend or day off look like?
My ideal day off/weekend would start with a delicious brunch, becuse I'm a total bruncher(?) Brunch lover? Anyway, I'm totally a fan of brunch and so I would indulge in that. It would have to be somewhere outdoors so Sadie could come along. After that? Me and my four legged friend would maybe go for a run/jog followed by a full body massage, and a decadent dinner and bubble bath. After a day like that? I'd crawl into bed and enjoy the new sheets I bought, because somewhere during this ideal day off, I bought new sheets.

what do you regret most about your time in high school?
That I wasn't part of more organized sports. I mean, it's not like I'm any good at them, but I feel like I could have made a team or two had I tried out. I mostly focused on schoolwork and working on building up my extracurricular activities that did not include sweating. Okay fine, I regret letting the fear of sweating in front of people keep me from participating in group sports. I'm just strange like that, I guess.

what word or words do you overuse the most?
"Really?!" "Super" and I'm pretty sure I've overused the phrase "a rainbow experience" now.

what fictional character do you most relate to and why?
Would it make me completely self-deprecating to say Jan Brady? Probably. Okay, okay, fine. I would have to say, if I was forced to choose, Elle Woods. Not because I'm law school smart, but because I'd like to think that whatever the situation, I can still stay upbeat and positive, like Elle. Also, my resume is pink and scented, because I, too, think it adds a little something!

how would you like to die?
In a total blaze of glory. Preferably in a high tight rope/trapeeze sort of act. Or maybe swallowed by a large animal, or lost at sea, or maybe in the middle of a super secret spy operation, very James Bond-like. Except, not very James Bond-like since James Bond hasn't ever really died during a mission.

Blurb
Born to Peter and Annabeth Sparks on a cold New Years Eve in 1986, Lorelai Michelle made her debut into the worl and continued to march to the beat of her own drum ever since then. She was always referred to as the "odd" child, but it was out of endearment, mostly. Taking her place in the family as the "middle child" between older brother, Thayer and younger sister, Amanda, she embraced the oddball stereotypes that come with being considered the middle child and made them work for her. She wasn't particularly popular in high school, she seemed to find a happy balance with a close group of friends, most of whom worked for the school's "television show" that was produced by the broadcasting club. It was there that Lorelai fell in love with the idea of being involved in broadcasting. However, because of her awkward, albeit shy behavior, she felt more comfortable behind the scenes than in front of the camera. College brought on the opportunity to intern at a local Seattle radio station, and that's where she really found her passion. While she didn't feel comfortable in front of a camera, she came alive behind a microphone. She was pulled onto the show she was interning for as a fill-in for a guest who hadn't been able to make it and she hasn't left the microphone since. Being part of a team that talks about the realities of love, life and all the nitty gritty in between has been nothing but a blessing for her, all the while, keeping a bit of anonimity what with her still being considered the "intern"....even 5 years later.

Etc, etc. Et.al
Isn't a very strong swimmer. She learned when she was younger but never took a liking to it. So, she's hesitant to ever go swimming.

Often says things before she truly thinks about it, which lands her into some sticky situations, which she likes to refer to as "awkward turtle" moments.

Graduate of the University of Washington (09) with a double major in Broadcast Journalism & Psychology.

Her ultimate celebrity crush is on Ryan Seacrest. Which she will never really admit to...while sober.
